Description: I was asked to have a look at bouncy draw and wasn't sure if I would enjoy it, I thought I might play it once, but actually I've just spent the last 15 minutes trying to propel my little racoon up a canyon past the perils of branches and clouds and weights and fire breathing dragons!
Bouncy Draw (http://www.mochimedia.com/games/play/bouncy-draw/) is a flash game reminiscent of Doodle Jump or the Android cow abduction game - the idea is that your racoon has to bounce his way upwards, avoiding barriers on the way up to reach as high as you can.
The unusual feature of the game is that you can't just bounce of the platforms the game provides for you you can instead draw short platforms of your own underneath where you are falling. Draw them at an angle and you shoot off to the side, too short and you miss them completely, too long and you don't get the line you need! This is achieved simply by clicking the start and end point with the nicely drawn pencil cursor.
When you miss a platform you plummet and unless you're quick enough you hit some spikes (on a dragon's back) at the bottom, which loses you a life and propels you upward or ends the game if you have no more lives.
There are various barriers as you go up such as clouds or branches that you can get stuck underneath or land on for a moments respite.
I *really* enjoyed this. It's very colourful, the graphics are wacky which fits the style (afterall you're playing a bouncing racoon with a dragon trying to spike you!) The sounds are amusing and again appropriate.
If anything I would say it's pretty tough - I am a bit of a game veteran and it took me quite a few attempts to get any sort of decent height and even then I still found it hard going, but it kept me coming back for more, and now I'm done here I'm going back for some more! See you on the spikes!
You must bounce your way up the canyon, or risk getting spiked on the dragon below
